John is very pleased to announce that the original painting Low Tide was accepted into the prestigious 2008 Royal Watercolour Society & Sunday Times Watercolour Competition and was sold at the Exhibition preview.
We are in Aldeburgh, Suffolk on a changeable day weatherwise with an ominous but beautiful panoramic cloud formation providing a spectacular backdrop. A lone fisherman hurries about the business of making his boat ready for the next trip out to sea before the tide comes back in. The individual pebbles of a shingle beach scrunch together and jostle for position underfoot with only an occasional bit of seaweed or drift wood to interrupt the random uniformity. Glimpses of Thorpeness village can be seen off in the distance. Time and tide as they say……Hitch up your robe King Canute !
This giclee fine art print, one of John Twinning's pieces of maritime art; is one of several sea and boat images available in this category. Contact the artist
